Activate your license
Enter your license key once to unlock the extension — free or paid.
MediaGrabber Pro asks for a license key the first time you open it. This is true for every user, including the free plan — activation is what links the extension to your account so your plan and settings follow you.
Activating is a one-time step. After it succeeds you will not be asked again on this device unless you sign out or remove the extension.
If you don't have a key yet (free)
Open the activation screen
Click the MediaGrabber Pro toolbar icon. Because you have not activated yet, you will see the Activate screen with a key box and a Get free license button.
Get a free license
Click Get free license. This opens the MediaGrabber Pro portal in a new tab, where you create an account with your email. A free license key is issued to you instantly — no payment details required.
Copy your key and activate
Your key is shown in the portal under Licenses and is also emailed to you. Copy it, return to the extension, paste it into the key box, and click Activate. That's it — the extension unlocks and scans the current page.
If you already have a key
Paste the key into the Activate box and click Activate (or press Enter). This is the same flow whether your key is free, subscription, or lifetime.
Upgrading later
You do not need a new key when you upgrade to premium. Buy a plan in the portal against the same account, and the extension picks up your new plan the next time it revalidates (or immediately if you reopen the popup). Your premium features unlock automatically.
Finding your key again
Your license key lives in the portal under Licenses, on the account you signed up with. You can copy it there any time — for example, to activate on a second computer.
Common activation messages
